P. Anna Johnson is the founder of Open Hand Publishing. After twenty years as a publisher of multicultural books she has resumed the work of an artist potter that she began in Australia. She resides in Portland, Oregon.

A long time peace activist, Anna feels that the artist and the craftsperson serve a vital role in cultivating and preserving a sensitivity to beauty, currently in danger of being lost in our highly mechanized society.
